Bubble Therapy With Jewells

I was skating down the boardwalk when a woman in a fuzzy floppy eared onsie invited me to cast some bubbles through the air. I always love the atmosphere the bubbles make when I’m weaving through the looky loos. It was amazing to feel the snap of a really long one slowly wind it’s way back through the bubble and drop me just a little bit. Kinjo Arts TV Preview and Skate Session

Dane Kaneshiro and his Mom run Kinjo Arts. They are some fantastic humans that have a few shops around town and sell at the boardwalk, Balboa when that wasn’t illegal and all sorts of farmers’ markets and other events. Check out their work at kinjoarts.com and kinjo_arts@instagram All their boards are spray painted by hand and therefore completely unique, custom and eye-grabbing. Longboardian supports skating, but I think a lot of folks would agree that the electric vehicle wave as of late has been kinda cool and kinda lame. Skating is dangerous. A lot of us joke that skating often becomes suprise parkour. Bleeding a bit is just part of the Art. The [JMK] folks have been putting on this nice weekly meetup at the boardwalk where Pour Boy Coffee sets up now and again. Where there is boombox, rollerskaters also seem to flock.
